    Sugar Haze Regular

Haze and the rest of its lineage are arguably the best Sativa hybrids in the world. Even after nearly 60 years since appearing in the market, it remains the standard epitomizing excellence. It does have one weakness, though - 12-16 weeks flowering time.

To shorten the flowering period, the most logical thing to do is to infuse Indica genes. Such is the case with Afghan Haze. Although the Afghani is incredibly popular, it does not have a monopoly on remarkable growing traits. In the coastal mountain range of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, from where Colombian Gold originated, a cultivar exhibiting fast flowering time was chosen and crossed with Haze.

Years and generations of selective inbreeding culminated with the birth of Sugar Haze. At only nine weeks, it is the quickest flowering Haze ever developed. More importantly, Homegrown Cannabis Co. provides it as regular seeds. In this seed form, it offers numerous advantages. One is that it has excellent resistance to pests and diseases. Old-school growers could also appreciate its being as natural as possible.

Growing Sugar Haze from Regular Seeds

A common trait shared by many Sativa hybrids in the Haze lineage is having a tall structure. Not for this cultivar, though, as it stands only between 80-120 cm. Mainly, by having the Indica growth pattern, Sugar Haze exhibits traits making it genuinely unique. It is also likely the most beginner-friendly among all Haze descendants. Much of it is due to a rich heritage tracing back to the harsh conditions of the Santa Marte mountain range. As such, it has developed tolerance to abrupt changes in weather conditions, and resistance to pests and diseases.

Indoors, this cultivar thrives under the Sea of Green (SOG) or Screen of Green (ScrOG) training method.

The SOG method is an excellent way to grow precise duplicates of a chosen female. Moreover, it is also cost-effective and in successive batches, reduces the vegetative time by two weeks. Apart from shortening this period, it also helps increase the yields.

ScrOG can also do the same thing with regards to boosting production. By manipulating the bud sites, diverting it to the upper canopy, the even spread of light improves the quality of the buds - significantly.

After only nine weeks of flowering, it is possible to harvest between 300 to 400 grams per square meter.

In the outdoors, Sugar Haze can tolerate less than ideal temperatures. However, it comes at the cost of quality and yield. For optimal traits, it needs access to plenty of sunshine. A warm, sunny environment helps each of these plants produce around 400 grams by the end of October.

The original Haze takes a long time to grow and harvest. Sugar Haze, on the other hand, produces practically the same effects. However, its growth cycle is much shorter. It is also quite easy to tend to, requiring only routine maintenance. For beginners in cultivating cannabis, it is one of the better choices.

    Fragrance and Flavor

Sugar Haze not only produces beautiful, resin-rich buds. It also effuses a complex aroma that combines the scents of the parent cultivars. Mainly, it has an earthy odor with citrusy, skunky, sweet, and sour notes. These fragrance carries over to the flavors, while also having a subtle hint of lemon and lime.

    Effects

Both the Santa Marta landrace and the original Haze exhibits practically the same effects. In this regard, Sugar Haze is not different. If anything, it is more potent based on having higher levels of THC. As such, it is one cultivar that beginners in cannabis use should avoid.

In a moderate dose, the onset of a highly stimulating euphoric buzz is quick. It swarms into the head, instantly uplifting the mood. As the sense of happiness sets in, the upbeat demeanor makes one feel sociable and chatty.

The intense buzzing also comes accompanied by a sense of mental clarity. It is not uncommon to have a flood of ideas forming. Its ability to promote creativity is one reason why musicians and other artists consume weed when composing or creating masterpieces. In most cases, the intense psychotropic effects do not turn overbearing.

On the other hand, when consumed in excessive doses, the high could turn trippy. Seasoned consumers, especially those who have built tolerance, might find the experience sublime. On the contrary, it could also become overbearing. Instead of the usual dry eyes and cottonmouth, or mild dizziness, some people might feel paranoid or anxious.

    Sugar Haze Regular Seeds

Growing Sugar Haze is tantamount to cultivating a Haze cultivar, and harvesting a month or two earlier. Instead of 12-16 weeks of flowering indoors, it takes only nine weeks. Even at such a quick pace, this cultivar does not compromise on quality and especially potency. In fact, it can develop higher levels of THC than either of the parents.

The shorter growth cycle itself means the effort it takes nurturing the plants is lesser too. Even more impressive is that it has excellent resistance to common problems afflicting cannabis plants - pathogens and other moisture-related diseases are some.

Homegrown Cannabis Co. guarantees that each of its regular seeds is of impeccable quality. It houses natural, highly reliable genetics and thus has the potential to attain high-quality levels come harvest time. Sugar Haze regular seeds are on stock and ready for shipping to any point in the world.
