I'm starting with well water with an EC right around .9/900 depending on what scale you're using. I have plans to get a reverse osmosis filtration system by the end of fall but for this grow I'll be running my own alkaline spring water. I just finished up a deep water culture grow using this water and it is doable and actually results in some pretty amazing weed if buffered correctly.

To start my seeds I made up a solution of pH 6 water and 3% hydrogen peroxide at a ratio of 1 to 9. I'm letting them soak for 12 hours at which point I will transfer them into paper towels and put them someplace cozy.
