Thanks so much for this Diary, it is nice to see what I should be expecting myself. I germinated in about 2 days, using warming to accelerate it. I had one seed that did not germinate in that time, but I started one more seed than needed, just in case, so it was perfect. Two seedlings started out deformed looking, one became normal in about a week, and one is still screwy (twisted, with oddly formed leaves and slow growth), so it may not grow. After a week, I am about where you were at 3 weeks. My plants have no stem, they are unfolding fat leaves right on the medium. I think the speed, and shortness is an indication of light. ppfd around 800 to 1500 depending on where you measure. My lighting rig is a home made unit based on 25 6600 lm T8 tubes, and 13 3300 lumen t8's, running just over 1000 watts. lower than yours. Growing in rockwool with dwc using bubble-pump from top every 3 hours to keep the rockwool cube moist until the roots reach the bubbling nutrient solution below. Using a hydro method I developed in 1986, but seems almost mainstream now. I don't think my hydro is special, right now I just have intense lighting. My temeperatures are in the 65 to 72 range. The only special thing I am doing is using automation to run a grow from 1000 miles away. I have 11 different automation systems, and some ifttt to take data from one system and use it to control another. I also have some redundant systems, as well as the ability to reboot everything. The distance is temporary, the automation is just how I run things whether near or far.
