Black Domina, with its rapid flowering time, vigorous resin production, and insanely potent sedating effects, truly embodies the world’s most exceptional Indica genetics. It’s a curious cross between four cultivars: Afghani, Northern Lights, Ortega and Hash Plant.
Interestingly, three of the parent cultivars are descendants of an Afghani landrace. Apart from its strong narcotic effect, another outstanding feature of the cultivar is its striking black and green foliage.
These seeds from Homegrown Cannabis Co. create a rather unique plant that responds to light cycles but has a faster growth rate. It’s a cross between an original Black Domina and an autoflowering variety, but instead developing a fully automatic version, the goal was instead to retain photoperiod characteristics while making the whole process quicker.
Black Domina is quite easy to grow and manage as it stays under 3 feet tall. Besides a shorter flowering period, it’s also genetically predisposed to be more resilient to environmental stressors and disease. Its photoperiod lineage grants it the ability to produce copious harvests of dense buds coated with glistening trichomes. More importantly, these buds contain relatively high levels of THC, usually averaging between 15% and 20%.
The fast version of this cultivar is genetically coded to grow and bloom much more quickly than the standard plant. After just 6 – 7 weeks of indoor flowering, expect a yield of 1.31 to 2 ounces per square foot.
Outdoors, harvest time in the Northern Hemisphere usually falls between late September and early October. In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s between late February and early March. About 24 to 28 ounces per plant is achievable in optimal conditions with plenty of sunshine.
Black Domina Fast Version thrives best in a sunny, Mediterranean climate, but it can adapt to humid and rainy environments too. It can survive such dank and mold-prone conditions because of its fast-flowering traits: since it finishes flowering earlier than pure photoperiod breeds, it manages to evade the season where most virulent molds attack.
This cultivar is renowned for its complex terpene profile that captivates the senses with a spicy, peppery aroma underscored by hints of earthy, woody pine. The flavor is rather odd – it’s sharp and bitter with a fruity and earthy aftertaste.
Typical of its Indica heritage, this cultivar brings an overwhelming feeling of relaxation that soothes tense muscles and calms the mind and body. It creates a sense of freedom from the worries of daily life and replaces negative thoughts with happiness and tranquility. As it fades it can leave a pleasant tingly sensation that’s felt throughout the body.
Not surprisingly, such effects eventually lull smokers to a deep, peaceful slumber, making it a perfect cultivar for slowing down and unwinding at the end of the day.
Since the potent Indica effects tend to build up gradually, proper pacing and moderation in dosing are important if you want to enjoy it. Overindulging may cause adverse side effects such as dry eyes, cottonmouth, dizziness and – in some cases – anxiety and paranoia. Aside from responsible dosing, staying well hydrated may help prevent these unpleasant symptoms.
Undoubtedly of world-class pedigree, Black Domina Fast Version has made a name for itself thanks to its highly-coveted characteristics. It’s quick and easy to grow and produces vigorous yields of dense buds blanketed with crystalline trichomes. Its unmistakable spicy yet earthy aroma invigorates the senses while hinting at its odd but delightful flavor.
Fast Version Black Domina seeds from Homegrown Cannabis Co. create an inherently hardy plant that’s a delight to cultivate. Since the seeds are feminized, the chance of having males in the garden is virtually nonexistent, saving time, money and effort.
